36min: New Zealand 14 Australia 6 - Comedy of errors has led to three points for NZ. Cooper had to run back and scoop up a charge down from Nonu, and got away a brilliant clearance. Kahui fired the quick restart, before Dagg put up a very average mid-field bomb. Aust caught offside, unfortunate for Ashley-Cooper, and Weepu manages to kick this one.

Eden Park is slowly filling and the tension in the air is so conspicuous that it feels more like a funeral than a RWC semi-final.

Richard Kahui and Stephen Donald are currently warming up at the West End of the field. Kahui just looked into the heavens as if to say this is his moment.

Richie McCaw's right thigh is heavily strapped but he does appear to be running freely.

Meanwhile the non-playing reserves of Wallabies are casually playing hacky with a rugby ball around the halfway line. Reasonable skills but I don't think they are going to get an A-League contract anytime soon.

Riots break out in Rome as Wall Street protests go global

Demonstrators rallied Saturday across the world to accuse bankers and politicians of wrecking economies, but only in Rome did the global "day of rage" erupt into violence.


Galvanized by the Occupy Wall Street movement, the protests began in New Zealand, rippled east to Europe and were expected to return to their starting point in New York. Demonstrations touched most European capitals and other cities.

They coincided with the Group of 20 meeting in Paris, where finance ministers and central bankers from the major economies were holding crisis talks.While most rallies were small and barely held up traffic, the Rome event drew tens of thousands of people and snaked through the city center for kilometers (miles).

Some protesters in masks and helmets set fire to cars, smashed the windows of stores and banks and trashed offices of the defense ministry. Police fired water cannon at demonstrators who were hurling rocks, bottles and fireworks.

Smoke bombs set off by the protesters cast a pall over a sea of red flags and banners bearing slogans attacking economic policies the protesters say are hurting the poor most. The violence sent many demonstrators running into hotels for safety. In contrast, small and peaceful rallies got the ball rolling across the Asia-Pacific region Saturday. In Auckland, New Zealand's biggest city, 3,000 people chanted and banged drums, denouncing corporate greed.

About 200 gathered in the capital Wellington and 50 in a park in the earthquake-hit southern city of Christchurch.

In Sydney, about 2,000 people, including representatives of Aboriginal groups, communists and trade unionists, protested outside the central Reserve Bank of Australia.

Hundreds marched in Tokyo, including anti-nuclear protesters. In Manila a few dozen marched on the U.S. embassy waving banners reading: "Down with U.S. imperialism" and "Philippines not for sale."

More than 100 people gathered at the Taipei stock exchange, chanting "we are Taiwan's 99 percent," and saying economic growth had only benefited companies while middle-class salaries barely covered soaring housing, education and health care costs.

They found support from a top businessman, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp (TSMC) Chairman Morris Chang.

Liverpool vs Manchester United – Match Preview

The two most successful clubs in English football will go head to head at Anfield on Saturday, in one of the most anticipated fixtures of the season.

The inter-city rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester United dates back to the industrial times. Liverpool was famous for its thriving port, whilst Manchester was a renowned manufacturing city. The completion of the Manchester Ship Canal meant that ships could now bypass Liverpool and go straight into Manchester, causing job losses for the merchants in Liverpool and sparking a long lasting resentment.


Both cities have grown since a decline in the industries in the 70’s and found new successes; Manchester is now recognized as a world-class city and Liverpool was awarded the European Capital of Culture in 2008. Nowadays, it is the football that keeps the fierce rivalry alive, in what is referred to as the North West Derby, or ‘the most famous fixture in English football’, according to Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs.


The rivalry between the two clubs has intensified recently as United overtook Liverpool’s record of 18 league titles when they won the Premier League last season, making it 19 for the Red Devils. However, Liverpool still owns the bragging rights for the most successful English team in Europe, with five European Cups to United’s three. I’m sure there will be a few number 19’s in the away section at Anfield on Saturday, but having lost their last three visits to the fortress, United will be cautious in their approach.

Kenny Dalglish has seen his team bounce back from two successive defeats in a row to three wins on the trot in all competitions, however, the Red’s form is no match for the league leaders. Alex Ferguson’s men remain unbeaten and their only slip up in the league has been an away draw to Stoke. It was United’s away form that let them down in the league last season and a trip on the M62 to Liverpool could be their first real away test this season.

The home side have little injury concerns as they prepare for Saturday’s fixture. Daniel Agger, Martin Kelly and Glen Johnson all face a late battle to be fit, however, Steven Gerrard looks set to start in what will be his first game back since playing in Liverpool’s 3-1 over United in March last season. Gerrard provides his team with another dimension of football and an added belief. The skipper has enjoyed numerous successes against United over the years and will be chomping at the bit for a start and to make a solid impact once again. Luis Suarez is almost certain to start following his recent form, however the Uruguayan flew back from South America midweek, so Dalglish will have to assess his striker’s mental fitness for the encounter.

The visitors still have a few injury problems in defence, however Rio Ferdinand and Jonny Evans should be available for Saturday. Another bonus for Ferguson is that his steely Serbian defender, Nemanja Vidic, could also be in contention for a start, having performed in international duty on Tuesday. Vidic, however, has been sent off in two of his last three visits to Anfield. Chris Smalling is unlikely to make his return to first team action, whilst David De Gea is likely to take the place of Anders Lindegaard in goal. Following his red card due to his display of petulance when playing for England, United’s token scouser Wayne Rooney, will be looking to get one over on his rivals and also get his name in the papers for the rights reasons this week.


Liverpool have shown a greater level of desire in this fixture in recent years and Dalglish will have his men fired up and raring to go from the off and no doubt will be told to test the ability of De Gea in between the United sticks. With their new attacking prowess in Saurez, Carroll, Bellamy and Downing, it’ll certainly give the visitor’s defence something to think about. Both teams have brought in new faces over the transfer window and they have both undoubtedly become stronger as a result. The bragging rights are up for grabs once again, in what will be a fiercely contested game.

Korean Grand Prix 2011: Lewis Hamilton claims pole position ahead of world champion Sebastian Vettel

After a run of abysmal form that has left him self-critical, the 26 year-old finally hooked up his McLaren to give him pole, 15 months after his last in Canada.
Hamilton beat newly-crowned two-time champion Sebastian Vettel by 0.222secs as he dominated qualifying for tomorrow's Korean Grand Prix.
It means Red Bull's run of 16 consecutive pole positions is now at end, falling eight short of Williams' mark set in 1992/93.
 
It was thoroughly deserved for Hamilton, who appears to have rediscovered his mojo this weekend after finishing quickest in final practice earlier today and then in all three qualifying sessions.
Red Bull star Vettel at least had the small satisfaction of denying McLaren their first all-front row for 41 races as the 24 year-old pipped Jenson Button into third by 0.084secs at the death.Vettel's team-mate Mark Webber will start fourth, with the Ferrari duo of Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso fifth and sixth, the duo over a second down on Hamilton.

Mercedes' Nico Rosberg starts seventh, ahead of Renault's Vitaly Petrov, whilst Paul di Resta made it into the top 10 for the fourth time this year and will start ninth in his Force India.
The Scot at least went out in the final session, albeit not setting a time, unlike team-mate Adrian Sutil who opted not to leave his garage and so will line up 10th.
Toro Rosso's Jaime Alguersuari led those who dropped out of Q2, the Spaniard beaten by 0.061secs by Di Resta who produced a stunning last lap to make the top 10.
Michael Schumacher finished half a second behind team-mate Rosberg and will start 12th, with Sebastien Buemi in his Toro Rosso 13th.
The Saubers of Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Perez line up 14th and 17th, sandwiching Renault's Bruno Senna - 0.6secs down on Petrov - and Williams' Pastor Maldonado.
For only the second time this season, and first since the Spanish Grand Prix in May, Rubens Barrichello failed to make it out of the initial 20-minute Q1.

Aaron, Faye, Aden, Jay And Anton Face Eviction!

Yes! You read correctly! FIVE housemates are up for eviction this Friday night as the housemates face the public vote in the biggest nomination of the series! Could Big Brother be up to some tricks?
Aaron, Faye, Aden, Jay and Anton were all put up by their fellow housemates after nominating earlier today. It’ll mean half of the house faces the eviction halfway through the series. This large amount have all been nominated after Big Brother changed the rules and allowed housemates to discuss nominations, you can read more on this story
 

Aaron’s first nomination was for Anton. He says he simply doesn’t want to live with him anymore. Aaron’s second nomination was for Jay because he hasn’t “got the minerals that he says he has.”
Aden’s first nomination was for Aaron because of the distance he has felt towards him since “ketchup-gate”. Aden’s second nomination was for Faye because he feel she “segregates” herself from the rest of the housemates and they haven’t formed a connection.
Alex was up next and first nominated Aden because she says she struggles to hold a conversation with him and finds his stories “far-fetched.” Her second nomination was for Anton because she feels she has seen a different side to him since the fallout with the ketchup incident.
Anton was the forth housemate called to the diary room and nominated Aaron saying that he hasn’t found much in common with him. His second nomination was for Faye because he feels a distance between them.
Faye was next into the diary room. Her first nomination was for Anton because she said she is discovering a two-faced side to him. She also nominated Jay because she felt that he hasn’t made much of an effort with her and she feels the “wolf pack has gone too far.”
Harry nominated Jay because he finds him “annoying, rude, arrogant and he farts around the house a lot.” His second nomination was for Anton because Harry thinks “he is too big for his boots.”
Jay’s first nomination was for Aaron. Jay said that he “saved his skin last week” and that Aaron leaving the house would be “no love lost.” Jay’s second nomination was for Harry because he says “I’ve been eating bananas, tomato sauce and frosted flakes for a week. I’m suffering.”
Louise is up next to the diary room and nominates Faye because she is “still very emotional” and they are not as close as they used to be. Her second nomination was for Aden because “he just told me a little lie and it shocked me”.
The final housemate to nominate was Tom and he chose Anton because “he can be malicious after an argument.” His second nomination was for Aden because he finds that sometimes their conversation “feels forced.”

FAA investigates skydiving sex stunt over California

The Federal Aviation Administration says it will look into a videotaped skydiving sex stunt to determine if the pilot might have been distracted during the incident over Kern County.
FAA spokesman Ian Gregor says any activity that could distract the pilot while he's flying could be a violation of federal regulations.
Skydive Taft owner David Chrouch says he fired part-time skydiving instructor and porn star Alex Torres and hasn't decided whether to fire the company's receptionist, Hope Howell, who he said was Torres' partner in the video.

The video shows the two having sex in a plane before jumping out in tandem and continuing the act midair.
NBC station KGET-TV in Bakersfield reported that Chrouch said that Torres put the stunt together in an attempt to get the attention of Howard Stern. "Apparently they told my pilot it was OK to do this. And got here early in the morning before anyone got here and shot this," Chrouch told KGET.
Authorities say Torres had posted the video on his blog but removed it on Monday. Chrouch said he found out about the stunt when a Taft police officer told him that the video was making the rounds at a local school.
Taft police Lt. Ed Whiting told KGET-TV that no criminal charges are pending.
At one point in the video the couple is shown seated in a jump seat right next to the pilot.
"No I wasn't concerned," Chrouch told KGET. "He was in complete control of the plane at all times. I mean he looked back a couple of times. The same thing he does if there are other skydivers in the plane. He is going to look back, he's going to look around to see what everyone is doing."
